Building upon the pioneering development of
color broadcast studio monitors in the 1950's,
Conrac quickly became a leading supplier of
color display monitors to the process control,
computer graphics, military and medical markets.
Throughout the 1960's, 70's and 80's, Conrac's
commitment to research and development yielded a
number of industry firsts. In fact, it is
fair to say that Conrac wrote the book on raster
graphics by publishing the RASTER GRAPHICS
HANDBOOK (Van Nostrand Reinhold, 2nd Edition,
1985) that offered at the time the only
comprehensive explanation of the principles
behind computer based graphics systems.

Unfortunately, it is no longer cost effective to
manufacture large screen CRT displays due the
continuing development of flat panel
technologies and availability of certain
components. At present, the only color CRT
display currently being manufactured is the
14-inch open-frame Model K42.

Model K42 - 14-inch CRT
The K42 is a versatile display
monitor suitable for
incorporation into industrial
applications such as process
control and lab automation
equipment. Features include
auto-scanning (15 - 40 kHz) for
signal compatibility and robust
construction to withstand
factory vibrations and ensure
reliable round the clock
operation.
